How to get from Bergen city centre to popular tourist destinations.
Purchasing a ticket
We recommend that all passengers purchase their tickets before boarding. You may purchase tickets for Skyss buses and some boat connections in the following ways:
- App: Download our ticket app, Skyss Billett, from the app store
- SMS (Norwegian phones only): Send “Vaksen” (Adult), “Barn” (Child), or “Honnør” (Senior) to 2412

- On board buses and some boats.

Price
The price for a ticket is NOK 44 for an adult for one price zone. Destinations in this guide are in the same zone as Bergen, unless otherwise specified.
Finding your transport
Buses and the light rail in Bergen depart from various stops in the city centre and from Bergen bus station. Use the terminal maps to find the stop where your transport departs from.
Departure times
You can find the departure times of your transport by using:
- The online travel planner. Enter the stop you'll be travelling from, or simply use your current location. Then enter the location you want to go to.
- Our travel planner app, "Skyss Reise", that you can download from the app store.

ALVØEN
Bus no. 3 or 3E from Olav Kyrres gate to Loddefjord terminal, then transfer to bus no. 42 to Alvøen.
THE ARBORETUM
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1), or bus no. 50E or 51 from Bergen Bus Station, to Birkelandsskiftet terminal, then transfer to bus no. 53 to Milde snuplass.
BERGEN GOKART
Bus no. 450, 445 or 460 from Bergen Bus Station or Lars Hilles gate to Straume terminal.
BJØRN WEST MUSEUM
Express coach no. NW431 or VY430 from Bergen Bus Station, north to Matre. Purchase tickets online at Nor-Way.no or VYbuss.no.
COASTAL MUSEUM IN ØYGARDEN
Bus no. 460 from Bergen Bus Station or Lars Hilles gate to Ågotnes terminal, then transfer to bus no. 479 to Ovågen.
DAMSGÅRD COUNTRY MANSION
Bus no. 6 from Olav Kyrres gate to Damsgård hovedgård (Damsgård Country Mansion).
EDVARD GRIEG MUSEUM – TROLDHAUGEN
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Hop. Turn right towards the traffic lights (north), then turn left onto Troldhaugsveien road. Follow the signs from there. Approx. 20-30 min. walk. Alternatively, take bus no. 67 or 600 from Bergen Bus Station to the Hop Sjølinjen stop, and walk for approx. 20 min.
FANTOFT STAVE CHURCH
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Fantoft. Pass the supermarket, turn left and follow the signs for “Stavkirke”. Alternatively, take the Bergen Light Rail to Paradis, and walk up Birkelundsbakken hill above the tunnel to the car park on the left. Follow the short, steep path to the stave church.
FLIPZONE TRAMPOLINE PARK
Bus no. 4 from Festplassen to Industrihuset.
GAMLEHAUGEN
Bus no. 67 or 600 from Bergen Bus Station to Fjøsangerkrysset, followed by a short walk.
GLESVÆR
Bus no. 450 from Bergen Bus Station to Skogsskiftet terminal, then transfer to bus no. 458 or 459 to Glesvær.
HARDANGERFJORD (Steinsdalsfossen in Norheimsund)
Bus no. 925 from Bergen Bus Station to Steinsdalsfossen. This journey crosses two price zones and the price per adult is NOK 67. At Norheimsund town centre, you can also visit the Hardanger Maritime Museum.
HEATHLAND CENTRE
Bus no. 300 from Bergen Bus Station to Knarvik terminal, then transfer to bus no. 302 to Lygra nord. Check the bus schedules in advance.
HERDLA MUSEUM
Bus no. 499 from Bergen bus station or Lars Hilles gate to Herdla.
HØYT & LAVT CLIMBING PARK
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Nesttun terminal, then then transfer to bus no. 610 to Kirkebirkeland. The climbing park is located 100 meters up the road.
HØYT UNDER TAKET
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Kokstad, followed by a 10 minute walk.
LYSØEN ISLAND, OLE BULL’S HOME
Bus no. 67 or 600 from Bergen Bus Station to Lagunen terminal, then transfer to bus no. 62 to Buena. Alternatively, take bus no. 600 from the bus station to Tøsdalskiftet, then transfer to bus no. 601 to Buena. Boat to Lysøen from Buena.
LØVSTIEN
Bus no. 19 from Olav Kyrres gate to Melkeplassen, followed by a 10 minute walk to reach to the start of the trail. Alternatively, you can start at the other end by taking bus no. 67 or 600 from Bergen Bus Station to Fjøsangerkrysset, followed by a 5-minute walk to the start of the trail.
NORTH SEA TRAFFIC MUSEUM IN TELAVÅG
Bus no. 450 from Bergen Bus Station or Lars Hilles gate to Skogsskiftet terminal, then transfer to bus no. 458 or 459 to Sælstø.
NORWEGIAN FISHERIES MUSEUM
Bus no. 3, 4, 12, 16E or 19 from Torget or Bryggen to Sandvikstorget, cross the road and turn left.
OLD BERGEN MUSEUM
Bus no. 3, 4, 12, 16E or 19 from Torget or Bryggen heading north, to Gamle Bergen. Follow the signs marked “Gamle Bergen”.
RUSH TRAMPOLINE PARK
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Kokstad, followed by a 3-4 minute walk.
SILJUSTØL
Take the Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Råstølen, followed by a 10 minute walk.
THE TEXTILE INDUSTRY MUSEUM
Bus no. 3 or 4 from Torget or Bryggen heading north to Åsane terminal, then transfer to bus no. 35 to Salhus kai.
ULRIKEN 643 CABLE CAR
Bergen Light Rail (Line 2) to Haukeland sjukehus (Hospital) and walk from there. Alternatively, take bus no. 5 or 6 from Festplassen, or no. 16E from Småstrandgaten to Haukeland sjukehus nord. Then follow Haukelandsbakken up for about 5-10 minutes.
VANNKANTEN
Bus no. 3 or 3E from Olav Kyrres gate to Loddefjord terminal.
VILVITE
Bergen Light Rail (Line 1) to Florida, followed by a 3–4-minute walk.
YTRE ARNA MUSEUM / OLEANA
Bus no. 3 or 4 north to Åsane terminal, then transfer to bus no. 91 to Ytre Arna kirke.
