Return ticket
When travelling more than 15 kilometres by boat, you can buy a return ticket and get a 50 percent discount on the return journey.
The return ticket is valid for a specific route, and you must use the return ticket within 15 days. No refund will be given for return tickets that are not used within the deadline.
You can also buy a return ticket for shorter journeys, but you will only receive a discount on journeys over 15 kilometres.
You can buy a return ticket in the Skyss Ticket app or on board the boats. When purchasing a return ticket in the app, make sure not to activate the return ticket immediately. You should activate the return ticket before boarding your return journey.
You can buy a return ticket for adults, children, senior and concession holders, students, and military personnel.
Return ticket and maximum price for child ticket
When children travel with an adult, the child ticket costs a maximum of 196 kroner regardless of the journey's length. You do not receive a return discount when paying the maximum price for a child ticket.
When adults travel with children on long journeys, the following applies:
- If you buy a return ticket for one adult and up to four child tickets at the maximum price, no return discount is given on any of the tickets.
- If you buy a return ticket for multiple adults and up to four child tickets at the maximum price, a return discount applies to all adult tickets except the first one.
The ticket system will always provide you with the best discount and price. The best price depends on the journey's length, as well as the number of adults and children you are purchasing tickets for. In the Skyss Ticket app, you can easily check the price for your journey.
