From 26 June to 30 July, the Light Rail will start and end its routes at Bergen bus station. Kaigaten will be closed for an extended period due to roadworks. There will also be changes for buses that normally depart from Festplassen to Bergen bus station.

No Light Rail service between Byparken and Bergen bus station
From 26 June to 30 July, the Light Rail will be unable to use the stops Byparken, Kaigaten and Nonneseter. Both Line 1 and Line 2 will use Bergen bus station as their start and end point in the city centre.

Approx. 600 meters walking distance to Bergen bus station
It takes approx. 8 minutes to walk between Byparken and Bergen bus station. Travellers from Byparken and Kaigaten can also use Bus Line 12 from Olav Kyrres gate E and 13 from Festplassen N. Please note that the buses take a little longer than usual due to rerouting when Kaigaten is closed. Other travel options can also be found in the travel planner.

Boarding at Bergen bus station
Bergen Light rail can only use one of two tracks at the stop for Bergen bus station in the period. However, it will be possible to board at platform A and alight at platform B for passengers on Line 1. Line 2 will use platform D at Bergen bus station, for both alighting and boarding.

Buses go via Kong Oscars gate
While Kaigaten is closed, all buses that go between Festplassen and Bergen bus station will go via Kong Oscars gate and Strømgaten. Bus passengers will have to expect a slightly longer travel time to Bergen bus station.

Lines 12 and 13 change platform at Bergen bus station
Bus Line 12 towards Lægdene /Montana, and Line 13 towards Solheimsviken, will stop at Platform N at Bergen bus station. This applies to the entire summer route period from 26 June to 14 August. A map of Bergen bus station can be found here.

The works will lead to changes for passengers to and from Bergen bus station:

Line 1 to Bergen bus station
Passengers on Line 1 will alight at platform B as normal.

Line 1 from Bergen bus station
Passengers from Bergen bus station travelling towards Bergen Airport will alight as normal at platform A, but via a footbridge between the platform and the rail carriage. Please note that passengers should not walk onto the footbridge before the train carriage has stopped completely and the doors have opened. We recommend that passengers allow plenty of time when travelling. Please be mindful of other passengers.

Passengers on Line 2 alight at platform D as normal.

Line 2 from Bergen bus station
Passengers from Bergen bus station travelling towards Fyllingsdalen will board from platform D (normally in the direction of the city centre). This platform will be used for both alighting and boarding due to ongoing works. We ask that passengers be mindful and allow others to alight first before boarding.
